Aliens and UFOS in Ancient Art - Part I
;Alien rock art in Kimberley Australia? Could ancient art give us evidence of visitations from ufos and aliens in earlier times? Today we rush to record sightings with digital cameras and video, but could our forebears have committed their sightings to artwork on cave walls or canvas? It's a controversial field to step into, as academics will argue that to understand images from the past - we have to understand the culture and belief systems of the past (which we at Planet Flipside concede is a fair point - in some instances). We also believe however that cumulatively, enough evidence in artwork of ufo and alien vistitations exist to reach the conclusion that our forebears did try to record these events for future generations to be aware of. In this article we'll be bringing you some of the best examples and pointing out the pitfalls of seeing 'too much' in others.
The Kimberley Australia rock art (above & below) depicts many 'alien looking' heads and is dated at over 5,000 years old. It would therefore be of aboriginal origin, it has to be said that no discernible likeness to the aboriginal race can be seen in these images - so just who were they depicting? The appearance of a Halo around all of them is a common feature of rock art and can be found in the artwork of cultures spread across the world.

The image below is from Tassili, Sahara Desert, North Africa and is estimated to be have been created around 6,000 BC - not only do we have a depiction of something which looks strangely 'spaceman' like we also have what appears to be a flying disc depicted in the background too.

Dates vary for the next little artistic creation - but this sculpture is generally agreed to have been produced somewhere between 4000BC and 700 BC in Kiev, Russia - Once again the 'Spaceman' connection is clear.

There is an eerie similarity between the Sego Utah rock carvings and those to be found at Kimberley Australia - oddly they were both created at approximately the same time period 5,000 BC. Remember however both were created by cultures and races who are supposed to have had no connection with one another.
Generally speaking the research staff at Planet Flipside are content that the images shown thus far are indeed depictions of extraterrestial life in ancient art forms - however an example of what to be wary of can be found in this next illustration form the Abydos Temple Egypt.
At first glance what appears to be an 'alien' head and face appears in an ancient tomb - but careful analysis of the cartouche has shown that originally it depicted a vase of Crocuses and some of the alabaster has fallen off leaving what appears to be the 'eyes' of a 'grey alien'.
